Another great result for Stilo drivers in FIA F2. In the much anticipated Monte Carlo F2 Grand Prix, Stilo drivers Nyck De vries and Jonny Cecotto Jr (Team Rapax) scored a striking double in the Sprint Race. In race 1, Artem Markelov (Russian Time) scored a great second place. De Vries’s sprint race saw the Dutchman make a great start, who has overtook his team mate, Cecotto, putting the race out of reach for opponents.
The protagonists of the race, in addition to De Vries and Cecotto Jr, were two other talented Stilo pilots, Luca Ghiotto and Artem Markelov, both of Russian Time’s drivers. Ghiotto was fourth, behind Malja who was third, taking valuable points for the championship. Equally positive is Markelov’s fifth place, after a good duel with Albon, marked by spectacular overtaking on the Monte Carlo circuit. Already featuring in Race 1, Stilo driver Artem Markelov was again in top form, gaining a well-deserved second place, a result which, combined with the fifth place in the sprint race, places the Russian in third place in the championship, among the candidates to fight for the F2 title.

«I am so excited. I think this is the most important win of my career. The weekend hasn’t been off to an easy start for sure as I had two grid penalties that forced me to start race 1 from the 14th position. However, we managed to overturn the whole situation thanks to a great first race and to today’s outstanding run. I knew that the start would have been key, and I got off the line better than Johnny who was on pole. Once in the lead, I tried to keep the concentration high and the engineers helped me over the radio, remembering me to manage the tire degradation. In the end, everything worked perfectly. I want to say a big thank you to the team for all their work. This result rewards us for all our efforts and finally confirms the great potential we had since the beginning of the year. We put everything together and it’s a great satisfaction.»
