In the sprint race to get the new FIA F2 season underway, it was Artem Markelov (Russian Time) who win the first race of the year, in convincing fashion on the Bahrain Circuit.
The Russian driver deserved this victory, wearing his STILO, he drove a perfect race. Even more spectacular was Artem’s race on Saturday. Infact, the Russian had to start from pitlane and charged through the field with an aggressive and spectacular drive to come from last to take third place by the chequered flag. Also racing at the front over the weekend in Bahrain were numerous top STILO shod drivers, including Nick De Vries (Pertamina Prema Theodore Racing), Luca Ghiotto (Campos Vexatec Racing) and Sean Gelael (Pertamina Prema Theodore Racing) in contention for and finishing in the points. De Vries finished the Feature Race in sixth place and the Sprint Race in fifth after leading the early stages of the race.
