Victory for STILO driver Dries Vanthoor in the Blancpain GT Series. From pole position Vanthoor brought success to the WRT team and their Audi R8, winning along with his team mate Will Stevens.
In Race 1 there were also another two STILO drivers on the podium, Christopher Mies (Audi R8 – WRT) and Raffaele Marciello (Mercedes AMG – AKKA), accompanied by their respective team mates Riberas and Meadows. In the second race, Race 1 victor Vanthoor was not particularly fortunate, being forced to retire from the race. However Christopher Mies (Audi R8 – WRT) upheld honour for the STILO brand, who after his Race 1 victory we now find at the top of the Blancpain GT Series with 58.5 points. For Dries Vanthoor, who already won the prestigious Liqui-Moly 12 Hour Race at Bathurst, despite his retirement in Race 2, remains in second place in the series.
